The incident involved E.C. Dan and E.C. Mary's daughter's boyfriend, who is now their son-in-law. E.C.'s Dan and Mary were in the house unaware that he and his friends were outside drinking. The boyfriend was of legal age. Officers showed up and E.C. Dan went out to see what they needed. They asked who he was he told them he was the property owner. They arrested him for contributing to minors. Then they said they would let him go if he would let them search the house. E.C. Dan refused so they put him in the car then tried to get E.C. Mary to let them search without a warrant. She also refused then they took E.C. Dan to Jail. They secured the property, not letting anyone in the house while they went to the Judge to get a warrant. The boyfriend probation officer told the Judge he needed to have a warrant to search Dan and Mary's house. To prove the boyfriend was in violation of his probation. The P.O. had been over at the boyfriends mothers house earlier when she told him he wasn't living there anymore. That he was staying at E.C. Dan and Mary's. The P.O. told the Judge he needed to find some clothing, or other articles, belonging to the boyfriend at Dan and Mary's in order to prove he wasn't living with his mother anymore. The Judge issued the warrant to search the Church of Cognizance property. When the Judge discovered what really happened she spoke with other judges. She told E.C. Dan that she and the other Judges were appalled, by the officers misuse of the Judicial system. The officers were disciplined. She appologized to E.C. Dan. All charges were dropped.
